My Story

I'm a proud Londoner but there are various health and social issues affecting people across our wonderful city. I am fundraising to help London Community Foundation (LCF) continue to make an impact where it is needed most.

About London Community Foundation

London is the greatest city in the world, but it is a polarised city, of extreme inequality – a city with the country’s greatest wealth, but also the worst deprivation, where people struggle just to get by.

Communities identify their own responses to the challenges they face. Our task is to support them in doing that.

LCF channel funds to local community organisations making a real difference in their community. We are there to offer support and help them get stronger, to be more resilient and more secure, so people can depend on them, feel connected and feel hope.

*Disclaimer: Most people know I’m in a long-term, slightly toxic relationship with marathons. They’ve showered me with love and pain in equal measure over the years, but I keep coming back for more and I'm delighted (I think) to have the opportunity to run again in 2026. I’ve already paid for my marathon entry, plus a fee to cover LCF’s costs, so every penny you donate will go straight to LCF and their incredible work 😊
