My Story

I am honoured to be running the London Marathon 2026 in support of Shaftesbury, a charity dedicated to empowering people with disabilities to live more independent and fulfilling lives.

This cause is especially close to my heart. Throughout my career, I have worked to make community opportunities more accessible; first through sport and physical activity in my role as Community Activity Development Manager at Abbeycroft Leisure, and now through education with Eastern Education Group. I am passionate about breaking down barriers and ensuring everyone, regardless of their circumstances, can participate, learn, and thrive.

Running has also been a very personal journey for me. I began in 2023, following the loss of my 2 daughters during pregnancy. It became a lifeline; helping me to support both my physical and mental wellbeing.   Since then, I have gone on to complete the Ipswich half marathon in 2023 on behalf of Sands Utd (a support group for bereaved dads) raising £1,700 and then my first marathon, the Milton Keynes Marathon in 2024 on behalf of Bliss (a UK charity for babies born premature or with sickness) raising £2,005 alongside friends.

I am incredibly grateful to all who have supported my fundraising efforts in the past and look to you once again for your kindness and generosity in supporting me both in achieving a bucket list dream as well as being able to support the growth and development of such a worthy cause in Shaftesbury.

By donating, you’ll not only be supporting me on this journey but also helping Shaftesbury continue their vital work in creating brighter futures for people with disabilities. Every contribution, big or small, will make a real difference.

Thank you so much for your support.

About The London Marathon

The London Marathon has become an annual, inspiring and colourful fixture in the world’s sporting calendar since the inaugural race on 29 March 1981: a celebration of fun, fundraising and fancy dress.

Over the years more than a million people have completed the 26.2-mile course – which runs from Blackheath to The Mall, with a spectacular finish in front of Buckingham Palace, showcasing the very best that the capital city has to offer.

What’s more, these participants have raised over a billion pounds for charity and there have been countless amazing tales of human achievement throughout the event’s history – living up to its aim of helping participants ‘to have fun, and provide some happiness and sense of achievement in a troubled world’.
