My Story
In May 2023 we lost our best friend, sister, and the epic legend that was Laura 💜 She passed away suddenly following a severe epileptic seizure after many years of living with epilepsy. Her loss opened our eyes to how little awareness there is around a condition that affects over half a million people in the UK.
Last year a group of us ran two half marathons in Laura’s memory and raised over £20,000 for the Epilepsy Society between us all. The support was incredible and showed how much impact we can make when people come together. This year I’m taking on an even bigger challenge: the London Marathon — and there’s no one else I’d want to run it for.
Every mile is about raising awareness, funding research, and supporting people living with epilepsy. The work the Epilepsy Society does is vital in helping protect lives and improve understanding of this condition, and I’m proud to support them again in Laura’s name 💜
Marathon training is tough, but having a purpose behind it makes every run count. This is about turning effort into action and continuing the legacy we started last year.
Every donation, big or small, really does make a difference. Thank you for supporting this cause and helping us honour Laura while working towards a future with better awareness and care for epilepsy.
All for you, Laura 💜
#teampurple
Epilepsy Society is the UK's only charity transforming the lives of people living with epilepsy through world-leading research, advocacy and care.
Any donation you can give will help them to continue their incredible work and will spur me on throughout my training!
Thank you so much for your support!
