My Story
I am fundraising for the Haemophilia Society as I am a diagnoses Haemophiliac and proud young ambassador for such an amazing charity. I aim to inspire others to not allow a bleeding disorder limit themselves. This will be my biggest challenge yet and I can't wait to get started! I also have set myself the goal of a sub 3h time which hopefully isn't too ambitious. I am wanting to push myself and proove to myself what I am capable of.
The Haemophilia Society is a charity that supports those effected directly or indirectly by any bleeding disorders. They work with hospitals to reach families after diagnosis to create a strong community that can act as a support network to show them they aren't alone. They hold many public events to allow for members to get to know each other. They also have been working tirelessly on the infected blood enquiry for the past years to fight for compensation and recognition is given to those effected by the use of plasma based treatment and the resulting issues with it.
Keep an eye on my strava as I start training for what is the biggest race of my life!!
Any donations will be gratefully received and put straight into supporting these incredible goals!
About us
The London Marathon has become an annual, inspiring and colourful fixture in the world’s sporting calendar since the inaugural race on 29 March 1981: a celebration of fun, fundraising and fancy dress.
Over the years more than a million people have completed the 26.2-mile course – which runs from Blackheath to The Mall, with a spectacular finish in front of Buckingham Palace, showcasing the very best that the capital city has to offer.
What’s more, these participants have raised over a billion pounds for charity and there have been countless amazing tales of human achievement throughout the event’s history – living up to its aim of helping participants ‘to have fun, and provide some happiness and sense of achievement in a troubled world’.
