My Story
In 2026, I’ll be taking on the London Marathon to raise money for Crohn’s & Colitis UK — a cause that’s deeply personal to me.
I was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis in 2009, a life-changing moment that forced me to rethink what my body could and couldn’t do. Like many people living with inflammatory bowel disease, my journey hasn’t been straightforward. There have been periods of uncertainty, setbacks, and quiet resilience — learning to manage a condition that’s often invisible, misunderstood, and unpredictable.
The London Marathon is my favourite race. There’s something special about it — the atmosphere, the crowds, and what it represents. This time, I want to make it count. I’m finally in a place where I feel well, consistent, and able to train hard, and I want to use that opportunity to give something back.
Crohn’s & Colitis UK provide vital support, research, and advocacy for hundreds of thousands of people living with these conditions. Their work helps people feel less alone, better informed, and more hopeful about the future.
By supporting my run, you’re not just backing 26.2 miles — you’re helping fund research, raise awareness, and support everyone navigating life with Crohn’s or colitis.
Thank you for being part of this journey
