Jim's Fundraising for Dementia Support from Sage House
Jim Bennett
My Story
Hi, I'm Jim - the best looking one in the profile picture. The second best looking one is my Dad, and he has dementia.
I'm running to raise money for Sage House, a small, local dementia support charity that is changing lives by being there to help not only people with dementia, but their familes as well. It offers everything from a safe place for folks with dementia to come to, to do activities like gardening (my Dad is the chief gardener!), as well as wayfinders who can guide folks with dementia and their familes through their journey.
900,000 people in the UK have dementia, and charities like this are the best way to support them. Sage House needs £1.2 Million a year to cover their costs, so anything you can donate will help make a difference.
I've seen the massive impact Sage House has had on my family, and this is my small way of helping give something back. My Dad has done so much for me over the years as a caring and supportive parent, the least I can do is 26.2 miles.
