My Story

About me

I have been watching the London marathon since it's beginning and have been in awe of the participants every year. My wife and I took up running in 2018 and have run a couple of half marathons and were due to run London marathon in 2020. Unfortunately Covid hit and it was cancelled. However we were able to run it virtually, although it was a great achievement it still wasn't the same as running it in London.
Seeing the health service from 'the other side' is a huge eye opener and, whilst I would never want my friends and family to ever need the help from a charity such as FLEET, it is a necessity in these current times that they get as much financial support and raised awareness as possible, in order to continue to provide as they do.
