My Story

This year, I’m lacing up my running shoes once again and taking on the marathon. A challenge I’ve faced before, but one that never stops pushing me to my limits. This time, I’m running with an even deeper sense of purpose.

I’m raising money for LASER, a charity that is incredibly close to my heart. As a parent of a child with ASD and ADHD, I know how vital support, understanding, and specialist guidance can be. LASER’s mission is to ensure that children with additional needs and their families never have to navigate those challenges alone.

LASER provides hands-on, life-changing support, including:

Tailored learning resources that help children build confidence and independence

Specialist programmes and therapies designed to meet each child’s unique needs

Practical guidance for parents and carers who are doing their best to support their children at home and in school

A warm, welcoming community where families can share experiences, find understanding, and feel truly seen

Their work helps children discover new strengths, overcome daily obstacles, and celebrate every milestone and it gives families the reassurance that someone is walking beside them every step of the way.
