What am I doing?
I'm running the Marathon on 26th April 2026 in support of the charity Baby Lifeline.
The thought that in 2025 there are mothers and babies in the UK still coming to harm, even dying, during childbirth is intolerable. I want to do something about it, so I signed myself up to train through the cold, dark months of winter, do a 26-mile run in April 2026 with several thousand other people, and fundraise inbetween!
Baby Lifeline is a national charity which supports frontline NHS staff to prevent injuries and deaths in and around childbirth. They make care safer and better for pregnant women and newborn babies by providing training to maternity health professionals and donating equipment like incubators, to help babies who are born small or unwell.
