My Story
London Marathon 2026
Not everyone grows up surrounded by grandparents.
I didn’t, and that absence has left a quiet space in my life that I’ve always felt.
It’s a space that’s made me deeply aware of just how precious older generations are. The love, guidance and wisdom they offer is irreplaceable. And when that connection is missing, or when loneliness and isolation take hold, the impact is profound. No one should feel invisible simply because they’ve grown older.
Running has always been my way of pushing myself beyond what feels comfortable, challenging myself and finding focus. It’s where I test my limits, build resilience, and learn patience.
This year, I wanted those miles to mean more.
I didn’t just want to chase a personal best. I want every step to stand for something bigger than me, something that truly changes lives.
That’s why I’m running the London Marathon 2026 for Age UK.
Every step I take is a step toward helping older people feel valued, connected and cared for. It’s about standing up to loneliness, celebrating the wisdom of older generations, and ensuring they receive the support so many of us would hope for one day ourselves.
Knowing that each mile can help make a real difference makes this challenge more meaningful than ever.
Love and appreciate anyone who chooses to donate for this amazing cause Xxx
