My Story

After a couple of years of running again after many years off, I've decided to take on the challenge of running the London Marathon.

Many of you may know that my Mother, Terri, was diagnosed with dementia in 2019. It's a cruel disease that is slowly taking away her memories and independance. It requires lots of care and support for us a family, and particularly for my step father Mike, her primary carer.

And Mum isn't alone.

One in three people born in the UK today will develop dementia in their lifetime. It devastates lives and Alzheimer’s Society are trying to change that.

Together with your help, they can give vital support to those who need it today, hold decision-makers to account, and fund groundbreaking research to transform the future for everyone living with dementia.
