My Story

Why Trauma Care?

When I was a toddler, I suffered a traumatic head injury—a life-altering event that could have had a very different outcome if not for the swift and effective care I received. Today, I’m incredibly fortunate, and I want to give back by supporting Trauma Care, a charity dedicated to improving the lives of trauma victims across the UK and beyond.

Trauma Care is committed to improving outcomes for people who suffer major injuries—like the one I experienced—by promoting best practice across every stage of trauma care, from the scene of the incident to full recovery. This involves educating and connecting professionals from emergency services, hospitals, and rehabilitation through a seamless chain of care.

One of the key ways Trauma Care achieves this is through its high-quality events, training sessions, and conferences. These gatherings bring together leading experts in trauma medicine to share cutting-edge research, new techniques, and standardized approaches to care. They cover a wide range of vital topics—including paediatric head injury, an area very close to my heart. These sessions help ensure that children like I once was receive the very best possible care when every second counts.

By supporting this cause, you’re helping Trauma Care continue its vital work in training, research, and advocacy—ensuring that trauma patients, young and old, have the best chance at survival and recovery.

Thank you for helping me give back and make a real difference.
