My Story

Hello, my name is Joel and I am going to be running the London Marathon for Operation Restoration!

Operation Restoration is a charity that works to support children living on the streets in Santa Cruz, Bolivia. They have multiple children's homes and a street outreach team that together brings hope to children living on the streets in Bolivia. 

Last year I had the chance to go out to Santa Cruz and see the work that Operation Restoration do. I got to know some of the young people living both in the homes and on the street. Although each of them had faced incredibly difficult circumstances, they were all remarkable young people—full of potential and just as deserving as any of us of a brighter future.

The staff working for the organisation go the extra mile and I hope that by running the marathon we can raise enough money to make a difference to the lives of some of these young people!
