My Story

In August 2023, my Grandson, Teddy, was born with Congenital Heart Disease. From 12 weeks old, he had 2 life saving heart surgeries.

He spent 131 days in hospital (Royal Belfast for sick children and CHI in Dublin.)

My daughter Rebecca, and Teddy's Father William, had enormous support from the Childrens Heartbeat Trust throughout their lengthy hospital stays, with counselling, emotional and financial support.

I'm delighted to have secured a place in the TCS London Marathon on Sunday 26th April 2026 (Huge thanks to the New Balance Team) and would like to support the Children's Heartbeat Trust as a thank you for the tremendous work they do for all children such as Teddy.

Children’s Heartbeat Trust is a leading charity in Northern Ireland dedicated to supporting children living with congenital or acquired heart disease.

Every week in Northern Ireland, 4 more babies are born with heart disease.

Their mission is to provide practical, emotional and financial support; advocate for improved healthcare services and raise awareness of heart disease in children and it's impact.

Without Children's Heartbeat Trust there would be no tailored support for hundreds of children and their families in Northern Ireland.
