My Story

This isn't really my story, it's my daughter Isabelle's story. When she was four, she was diagnosed with leukaemia. Her life was turned upside down. Happily, thanks in large part to the fantastic treatment she received at Bristol Children's Hospital, she has been in remission for several years now.

Among the many organisations that have provided support down the years, the Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust has been hugely important to our family. Every year, Isabelle goes on a sailing holiday with other children who have been through similar experiences. It's a chance to make new friends, to learn new skills and just to have fun.

So that other families can also benefit from the Trust's work, I will be running the London Marathon in 2026. Anything you can donate will help!

The Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust is a national charity that takes young people aged 8-24 on sailing and outdoor adventures to inspire them to believe in a brighter future living through and beyond cancer.
