Josh Taylor - 2026 London Marthon Fundraise for the Brain Tumour Charity

My Story

I'm taking part in the 2026 London Marathon to raise money for The Brain Tumour Charity, to support in the work towards finding a cure and giving support to anyone who is already suffering from a Brain Tumour.

My Dad was diagnosed with a Glioblastoma Brain Tumour in September 2024. Since then, my Dad has had brain surgery, months of Chemo-therapy and radio-therapy, and taken part in multiple clinical trials to support in research of potential cures. Sadly, despite the incredible efforts of all of Health Care teams that supported him, we found that there had been no impact on the tumours. My Dad was later moved to a Palliative Care team, who supported him in making him comfortable until he passed away in October 2025.

My Dad has always been my inspiration. His nature, wisdom and support has helped me throughout my life, through good and bad times. Despite all of the challenges, pain, stress and fear my Dad faced over his last year, he never failed to keep a positve mindset. He was determined until the end, focusing on keeping his mind strong and always supporting others despite what he was going through.

Brain Tumours impact those affected in countless ways, such as frequent seizures, constant pain, losing the ability to move, losing hearing and sight, sickness, and gradually losing parts of their character each day.

I want to fundraise to support anyone suffering from a Brain Tumour in memory of my Dad. Any donation that you're willing to make is massively appreciated, and will go directly to the Brain Tumour Charity.

Thank you.
