My Story
This April I’m running the London Marathon in support of Farms for City Children (FfCC) which celebrates its 50th anniversary this year. This amazing charity has to date given over 100,000 children from urban communities the opportunity to spend a week living and working on one of the charity's farms.
My grandfather, Ted, who served as Trustee, Chairman and Vice President of the charity for over 30 years also ran two marathons to fundraise for FfCC. I still remember him and my grandmother telling me as a child how transformative the FfCC experience was for the children they met, how it empowered them and ignited a love of the countryside. Ted is one of the best people I have ever known and he felt so passionately about FfCC's work; running this marathon in his memory and being able to support FfCC's incredible work is a huge privilege.
