My Story

About us

Thank you for taking the time to visit my fundraising page. I am running the London marathon on 26th April 2026. I was lucky to get a place in the ballot, and have chosen to raise funds for Kidney Research UK.

Training for the marathon is taking up a lot of my time. This would not be possible without the support of my family especially Ed my husband. This is why I have decided to raise funds for Kidney Reasearch, Ed was diagnosed with a form of kidney disease, IgA Nephropathy in 2018. His kidney function is decreasing and he may require dialysis or transplant in the future. Kidney Research have been involved with research and treatment for this.

Everyday 20 people develop kidney failure requiring dialysis or a transplant. Kidney Research dedicate funding research into prevention treatment and management of kidney disease.
