My Story
I am so excited that I will be running the London Marathon 2026 with the Slimming World Team raising money for Cancer Research UK.
Since January I have lost 3.5 stone and well within my target now. During this time I found the love for running, which really helped my journey.
I feel so honoured to have been given the opportunity to run the London Marathon & in crazy Kayleigh style, I have decided to run Brighton Marathon 2 weeks prior. Resulting in 2 marathons in 2 weeks for Cancer Research UK.
Cancer Research UK is a charity that is very close to my heart.
I am running for:
Grandad Barry 1943-2002
Nanny Eileen 1956-2024
and my sister Samantha, who is currently battling her own cancer journey 🩷
I have first hand seen how cancer treatment has progressed over the decades and this is due to the fundraising for Cancer Research UK.
So therefore, I am fully dedicating these marathons to my sister and her journey. Her 2 little girls are the motivation that you need as whenever I run, they always remind me 'you are running for Mummy'.
To all of those families, friends, people that are affected by cancer, I am running for you. Together, we will beat Cancer 💞
Thank you so much for taking time to read my story & thank you for any donation you are able to donate x
