My Story
I’m running my first ever marathon — the TCS London Marathon on April 26th, 2026 — for the British Heart Foundation (BHF)
The BHF has been a charity close to my heart since I was a baby. When I was just 18 months old, I was diagnosed with a heart condition caused by a virus. Thanks to the incredible research and medical advances funded by the BHF, I made a full recovery.
Sadly, heart disease has continued to affect my family over the years. One of my cousins was diagnosed with cardiomyopathy at a young age, and we tragically lost his mum, my Kaki, to a sudden cardiac event. It was later discovered that there’s a genetic heart condition on that side of our family.
More recently, another cousin suffered a second heart attack, which he miraculously survived, once again, thanks to the life-saving research and treatments made possible by charities like the BHF.
So this marathon is more than just a personal challenge, it’s my way of giving back. I’m running to raise funds to help the BHF continue its vital research, and to support their mission to make defibrillators more widely available in communities across the country.
Every step I take will be in honour of my family and for everyone whose lives have been touched by heart disease.
If you can, please donate and help me reach my goal — every contribution, no matter how small, can help save a life.
Thank you so much for your support.
