My Story
In April 2026, I will be taking on the iconic London Marathon, a milestone that will mark my second marathon after completing the Chicago Marathon in October 2025. As a family physician with a deep commitment to improving healthcare for underserved populations, I’m proud to run in support of Pact (Prisoner Advice and Care Trust).
I have had the privilege of working directly for the incarcerated as a physician in a large state prison; dedicated countless hours of volunteer service to improve the incarcerated's access to books in North Carolina; and provided pro bono medicolegal consultation during the COVID pandemic. Pact’s mission aligns deeply with my own values, as they strive to transform the lives of the incarcerated and their families by providing crucial support and reducing recidivism.
Running my favorite city in the world is a personal challenge, but it’s also an opportunity to raise awareness and funds for this essential cause. Every step I take will be for those whose voices are often unheard and whose struggles are frequently overlooked.
