My Story

About me

This year I’m running the London Marathon for my cousin Andrew, who we sadly lost on 1st March 2025.

Andrew was born with Alagille Syndrome and was diagnosed when he was just a baby. At only 8 years old he had a liver transplant that changed his life. He went on to become one of the longest surviving liver transplant patients, which is something that will always make us incredibly proud.

Life was never straightforward for Andrew and he faced more than most, but he just got on with it. He had a strength about him and a quiet resilience that I’ll always admire.

Running 26.2 miles feels small compared to what Andrew endured, but it’s my way of doing something positive in his memory.

I’m raising money for the British Liver Trust to support other families living with liver disease and to help fund vital research.  I know how important this means as my Aunt, Uncle and Cousins experienced this first hand.

If you’re able to support, thank you so much 🤍
