My Story

I am raising money for an incredible charity called Contact by taking on the challenge of the London Marathon 2026.

Contact was founded in the 1970s by families of disabled children who recognised that, while their children’s conditions were different, they shared a common experience - the unique joys, challenges and emotions of raising a disabled child.

They understood how vital it is for these families to feel supported, empowered and never alone. Today, Contact continues their vision: that every family with a disabled child feels valued, strong, confident and capable of making the best decisions for their child’s future.

I am one of those families. I have a beautiful little boy named Noah, who is autistic and non-verbal.

Noah is my inspiration. Every single day, he teaches me patience, strength and unconditional love. But above all, he has shown me that nothing is impossible.

Contact has been a lifeline for countless families like mine. They offer support in so many ways - from benefit advice, early years support, local groups and legal guidance. Their one-to-one telephone appointments with family support workers provide both practical help and emotional reassurance during some of the most difficult moments.

Being the parent of a disabled child can often feel overwhelming and isolating. But Contact reminds us that we’re never alone on this journey.

I am deeply grateful for the chance to run the London Marathon and raise funds for a charity that goes above and beyond to support families like mine.
