My Story
On April 26th, 2026, my Dad and I will be taking on the London Marathon. This is a significant challenge for both of us, as it marks our very first marathon. While the training has been demanding, we are motivated by the opportunity to raise funds for a cause that is incredibly important to our family.
We are running in support of Anaphylaxis UK. This charity is particularly close to our hearts because I have lived with a severe nut allergy for as long as I can remember. While it is something I have learnt to manage, it adds a layer of persistent stress to everyday activities. Simple things that many take for granted - such as eating out with friends, attending social events, or travelling - require constant vigilance and forward planning to ensure my safety.
Anaphylaxis UK does vital work in supporting the millions of people in the UK at risk of severe allergic reactions. They focus on raising public awareness and providing evidence-based information to help individuals, schools, and businesses understand the complexities of allergies and anaphylaxis. Their goal is to create a safer environment for everyone living with severe allergies, ensuring that reliable information and support are always available.
We would be incredibly grateful for any donations to help us reach our goal. Your support will not only help us get across the finish line but, more importantly, will contribute to the essential work being done to help people navigate life with severe allergies. Thank you for your generosity.
