My Story

In April 2026 I’ll be running the London Marathon to raise money for Prison Advice and Care Trust (Pact). This will be my first full marathon. As a lawyer, I’ve seen how the criminal justice system affects people, families and whole communities, and I want to support those who are living with its impact.

You rarely know the full story behind a conviction. Some never had proper legal advice. Some are more likely to be convicted due to the colour of their skin or their gender. Some grew up in environments that made bad outcomes more likely. Some were wrongfully convicted. Whatever the circumstances, I believe everyone deserves to be heard and supported without judgement.

Pact is a national charity that supports people impacted by the justice system. They run visitors’ centres, children’s play spaces, resettlement services and a national helpline for families who feel overwhelmed and isolated. Pact believes in a society where justice and rehabilitation go hand in hand, and everyone is given the chance to learn from their mistakes and move forward. Their work helps people stay connected to their families and rebuild their lives, which leads to stronger relationships and safer communities.

Your donation will help Pact continue this work at moments when people and families need it most. Any amount you give will make a big difference to many people’s lives.
