My Story
🏃♀️ I’m running the London Marathon for young people who need somewhere to stay.
Youth homelessness doesn’t always look like someone sleeping rough.
Sometimes, it’s a 17-year-old who’s one argument away from being kicked out.
A teenager who can’t go home safely.
Or a family in crisis, struggling to hear each other at all.
I’m running for Wyre Forest and South Worcestershire Nightstop and Mediation (let's go with "Nightstop" for short!), a small but mighty charity that helps prevent homelessness before it happens.
They step in early offering mediation, support, and time. Helping young people and families talk, listen, and rebuild trust.
It’s not flashy work. But it’s life-changing.
I’ve worked with them for years both as a trustee and as an HR consultant, and have seen first hand the incredible impact they have on the lives of our young people in Worcestershire.
And while I haven’t experienced homelessness, I do know the power of conflict resolution.
I see it in workplaces.
They see it in living rooms, kitchens, housing offices - anywhere a young person is about to slip through the cracks.
This charity gives them a shot at staying connected, staying housed, and staying hopeful.
Please sponsor me if you can. Every pound helps them keep doing this quiet, powerful work.
