My Story
After years of watching and applying, I was fortunate enough this year to be given a place for the London Marathon on 26th April 2026, and am so pleased to be supporting East Anglian Air Ambulance!
In 2012 my Granny was in a life changing car accident, and the Air Ambulance saved her life. Their skill, speed and care got her to Addenbrookes hospital in time to manage her injuries, and after weeks under the care of their top critical care team, she gradually regained consciousness and movement and was eventually able to make it back home after several months.
East Anglian Air Ambulance receives no regular government funding and relies entirely on the support of the community.
Their crews are called to, on average, 8 critical care emergencies every day across their two bases, with each tasking costing in the region of £4,250. They can reach anywhere in East Anglian within 25 minutes when every second can make the difference to a patient in their time of need.
I'm so pleased to be able to help in raising vital funds for their operations, and appreciate any support you can give to keep their vital work going.
