My Story

I am running the London Marathon 2026 for First Days Childrens charity.

First Days doesn’t just provide essentials like beds, school shoes, or winter coats (though they do all of that and more). They help parents rebuild their lives after homelessness, crisis, or incredibly tough times. They offer long-term support, and the tools to create lasting change.

I was first introduced to First Days through my workplace, which has a close partnership with the charity and proudly donates a portion of its profits each year to help fund their vital work.

I’ve seen the impact of their work firsthand. Through volunteering with First Days over the last couple of years—especially during the Christmas season—I’ve witnessed how they transform lives. From providing warm beds and school uniforms to connecting families with vital services, they make a real difference to ordinary people facing extraordinary challenges.

Last year they supported 9,047 children, and their parents, across Wokingham, Bracknell and Reading. Each year, they need to raise £400,000 to deliver their services in the community.

By running the London Marathon, I hope to raise funds and awareness for this amazing charity.
