Every five minutes, someone dies without the end of life care they need.

Marie Curie wants to fix that, and so do I.

As a Lead nurse  in cancer care at Barts Health, I see first-hand the incredible impact that Marie Curie has on patients and families facing terminal illness. Every day, I work closely with individuals at the most vulnerable moments of their lives, and I know how essential it is for them to receive the kind of compassionate end-of-life care Marie Curie provides — whether at home or in hospice.

Running the London Marathon for Marie Curie is deeply personal to me. It's my way of honouring the patients I've cared for, supporting my colleagues in palliative care, and ensuring more people can access the dignity and comfort they deserve at the end of life.
