My Story

I'm running the 2026 TCS London Marathon for the Favela Foundation — an organisation that works directly inside Brazil's favelas to give young people access to education, sport, and opportunity that most of us take entirely for granted.

I started trainiong for this in January, and I've put in just over 400km of training to get to Sunday. The miles weren't the hard part. The hard part is that the problems the Favela Foundation addresses: structural poverty, lack of access, the handicaps of low expectations don't go away when you cross a finish line.
