My Story

Hi, I’m Matt, and in April 2026, I’ll be running my first ever marathon… the London Marathon! It’s something I’ve always wanted to tick off before I hit 40, and with just five years to go, now’s the time.

I’m proud to be running in support of Happy Days Children’s Charity, a brilliant local organisation I’ve fundraised for through Ashe over the years. I’ve seen first-hand the difference our donations make to the children and families they support and I’m very pleased to be running on their behalf.

Training is going well (ask me again in January!) and I’m especially grateful to my amazing wife for holding the fort with our two kids while I'll be disappearing for three-hour Sunday runs 😬

Thank you so much for any donation you can make, it means a huge amount to me, to Happy Days, and to the families they help. Massive thanks to the Happy Days team for the marathon place, and to everyone who’s supported me on this journey so far.
