Matthew Field - Running the London Marathon for Runnymede Trust”
Matt Field
My Story
I’m running the 2026 London Marathon for the Runnymede Trust - the UK’s leading race-equality think-tank. Runnymede has spent almost 60 years driving racial justice, shaping national conversations, challenging harmful policies, and elevating the voices of communities too often ignored.
My friend ran for Runnymede last year, which is how I first discovered the charity. The more I learned, the more I understood how essential their work is in challenging inequality and creating a fairer society. Running this marathon is my way of contributing to that mission.
Runnymede leads the difficult conversations many organisations avoid, grounding everything in evidence, lived experience, and a fierce belief in a fairer Britain. Their work influences government, pushes institutions to do better, and creates practical solutions for a more equal society.
My goal is to raise between £1,000 and £2,000.
Every contribution - big or small - genuinely makes a difference. Your support will help Runnymede continue their mission for the next 60 years, holding power to account and championing bold ideas that create real change.
Thank you so much for supporting me, for supporting Runnymede, and for believing in a fairer future.
