My Story

I’ll be running London Marathon for Step & Learn.

Step and Learn is a Kent based charity dedicated to providing free Conductive Education to children with neurological conditions such as Cerebral Palsy. Conductive Education is an educational system developed to teach individuals the skills needed to meet the challenges of everyday life.

They work with children in small group sessions, with a focus on what they can do, rather than what they can't. Through play and song, they motivate children to learn the skills necessary to build a more independent life, with tasks broken down into achievable steps. Conductive Education is about active learning and they encourage parents to incorporate their exercises into the everyday routine of theichild. 

As some of you may know, I’m already running Brighton Marathon, so to be given the opportunity to take on two marathons in two weeks feels incredibly special. 

Running London for Step & Learn makes this challenge even more meaningful. They do such important work at a local level, supporting children and families who truly need it, and I’m so proud to be fundraising on their behalf.
