My Story

I have now completed the London Marathon with the tractor costume, but unfortunately I didn't break the record. I came in with a time of 5hrs 23mins and 10 secs.

I would like to thank everyone who has donated.

I'm truly overwhelmed by the generosity everyone has shown for Cornwall Hospice Care and my record attempt.

Hi everyone! I have been lucky enough (if you want to call it that!) to be accepted to run the London Marathon in 2026 for Cornwall Hospice Care.

I will be running the London Marathon in a tractor costume and in the process hoping to gain a Guinness Book of Records time, currently standing at around 4hrs 50 minutes.

I did run the marathon back in 2010  and recorded a time of 3hrs 38 minutes, so although a 'little' older now, I am hopeful that I can gain a new record somewhere close to the 4hr mark. This will still give me around a 2 minute per mile window to still be able to record a record time.

If you can give what you can it would be very much appreciated, thank you

I would like to say a big thank you to all those who have donated so far for Cornwall Hospice Care. I am truly blown away by everyone's generosity and best wishes.

A big thank you to some of my main sponsors in Kubota, Vincents, Duloe Ale and Cider Festival, Lancare Contractors, Westcotts Accountants, Excel Agri, Cornish Dairy Co and Cornwall Groundworks Ltd.

About us

The London Marathon has become an annual, inspiring and colourful fixture in the world’s sporting calendar since the inaugural race on 29 March 1981: a celebration of fun, fundraising and fancy dress.

Over the years more than a million people have completed the 26.2-mile course – which runs from Blackheath to The Mall, with a spectacular finish in front of Buckingham Palace, showcasing the very best that the capital city has to offer.

What’s more, these participants have raised over a billion pounds for charity and there have been countless amazing tales of human achievement throughout the event’s history – living up to its aim of helping participants ‘to have fun, and provide some happiness and sense of achievement in a troubled world’.
