My Story
Hi, my name is Mike, and I’m proud to be running the 2026 TCS London Marathon in support of Young Lives vs Cancer, helping to ensure that no child faces cancer alone. Sadly, most of us know someone who has been affected by cancer, but incredible charities like Young Lives vs Cancer provide vital support to children and families during their toughest times.
My wife, Ceri, and I welcomed our first child, Arthur, last year. Becoming a parent has made me deeply aware of how completely our little one depends on us, and how strong the instinct is to protect someone so tiny and precious. With that in mind, I can hardly imagine how incredibly difficult it must be to support your own child — or a friend’s or family member’s child — through cancer treatment.
This is the main reason I'm delighted to have teamed up with Young Lives vs Cancer to run the London Marathon and I'm hoping to raise as much money as possible to help as many people as I can.
Please join me in supporting a good cause. By sponsoring me, your contribution will make a huge difference to the lives of children and young people with cancer. Whether you donate £5 or £500 you will be making a big impact. Thank you for your support.
Every day 12 more children and young people hear the devastating news they have cancer. Young Lives vs Cancer helps families find the strength to face everything cancer throws at them. We'll face it all together - but we can't do it without you.
I will keep you updated with my training throughout and can't wait to run the race but more importanlty raise funds to support the children that need it most!
Thanks in advance!
