My Story
About us
This year I am taking on the challenge of running the London Marathon to support ORT UK. ORT UK empower young people who have had challenging starts in life thorough life-changing education and vocational training. Having lost my parents over 20 years ago I know how difficult it can be for young people who don't have family support to make a much needed good start in adult life.
ORT UK is an education charity that empowers secondary schol age children to make informed and confident decisions about their future career journeys, guided by industry experts. They focus on developing transferable work-ready skills through their long-established ORT JUMP Mentoring and Employability Skills Programmes. These enable young people to identify thier individual strengths and passions, explore a wide range of industries and navigate potential pathways. So important when youth unemployment is on the rise and currently at 16%.
Running 26.2 miles will be a huge challenge for me but its nothing compared to the challenges faced by those who rely on ORT for support. Every pound you give helps ORT continue its incredible work.
Here’s to making every mile count! 🏃♀️
