My Story

I am running the London Marathon (plus 'a bit') for the Tom Love Trust (and the ALMT) on April 26th 2026.  

Tom Love was my cousin's elder son, a wonderful young man. Sadly, he will never be able to reach his full potential as he tragically passed away in December 2022 at the age of just 21, whilst living and working in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. 

Tom hit on an idea to motorbike around Africa on his Honda CRF 250. He set off from home in early September 2021 and travelled through more than two dozen countries.

On April 25th 2026, I will leave from Tom's family home in Amersham to roughly follow his tracks to the coast at Dover. My route will take me into London to take in the Marathon on Sunday 26th. I will then continue to Dover, aiming for five marathons in five days.

The Tom Love Trust (working with the ALMT) funds projects in the UK and Africa that Tom would have loved. Please donate what you can to this incredible charity.

My trip will be entirely self-funded and so every penny raised will go to the Tom Love Trust and the ALMT.
