My Story
In January 2025, I lost my Mum to cancer. Those final weeks were some of the hardest my family and I have ever faced—but Longfield Hospice were with us every step of the way.
Longfield didn’t just care for my Mum. They cared for us all.
They always had a smile on their face and helped my mum feel safe and supported right until the end. The team at Longfield showed us what true kindness looks like. Their care and compassion was endless.
They gave my Mum the chance to spend her final days in peace at home, surrounded by love. That is something we will never forget—and something I want to help others experience, too.
That’s why I’m raising money for Longfield Hospice. I am taking it upon myself to run the TCS London Marathon 2026. This is my way of saying thank you, and of keeping my Mum’s memory alive by helping others in their most vulnerable moments. I plan to raise as much money and awareness as possible for this incredible cause as well as ensuring I make my mum proud.
Every penny raised will go towards providing free care for people with life-limiting illnesses and supporting their families—just like Longfield did for us.
If you’re able to donate, I would be incredibly grateful.
Thank you for reading—and for helping me honour my mum in such a meaningful way. 💙
About us
The London Marathon has become an annual, inspiring and colourful fixture in the world’s sporting calendar since the inaugural race on 29 March 1981: a celebration of fun, fundraising and fancy dress.
Over the years more than a million people have completed the 26.2-mile course – which runs from Blackheath to The Mall, with a spectacular finish in front of Buckingham Palace, showcasing the very best that the capital city has to offer.
What’s more, these participants have raised over a billion pounds for charity and there have been countless amazing tales of human achievement throughout the event’s history – living up to its aim of helping participants ‘to have fun, and provide some happiness and sense of achievement in a troubled world’.
