My Story
I’m Running the London Marathon for Samaritans. In Memory, In Hope, In Honour
Next April, I’m running the London Marathon. 26.2 miles for Samaritans, a charity that offers lifesaving support to people who are struggling to cope.
I’m running these 26 miles for my mum, who we lost to suicide when she was just 26 years old. One mile for every year she lived. Each step is in her memory, because while her life couldn’t be saved, I hope her legacy can help save others.
But I’m not only running for her.
I’m also dedicating a mile to 25 other precious souls we’ve lost too soon. People whose names may not be known to everyone, but whose stories and spirits deserve to be honoured. Every mile will carry the weight of their memory and the hope that others won’t have to walk the same path.

Samaritans is there for people when they feel like they have no one else. They listen, without judgment, 24/7. They make space for pain, and help light the way through it. I’m running so they can keep doing that vital work.
Please consider donating, for my mum, for the 25 others, and for everyone still fighting silent battles. Every pound goes towards giving someone the chance to be heard, to hold on, and to find hope again.
Thank you so much for your support
