Neil Cattigan "Proud Papa"
My Story
About us
Hi, my name is Neil and am the extremely proud father of Siobhan Cattigan. We as a family suffered the agonising loss of Siobhan in 2021, despite being shattered as a family, we have dedicated our life to raising funds for charity in Siobhan’s honour and set up “Siobhan’s Legacy Of Love” through Glasgow Children's Hospital Charity. She personally supported this charity through fundraising & volunteering since her teenage years, and our family maintains strong connections with GCHC.
Siobhan spent her life putting others first and herself last, was kind, compassionate, loving, funny, talented, inspirational and a listening and supportive ear to so many. Entirely selfless. There are simply no words descriptive enough to explain how much she loved and was loved in return. Siobhan was passionate about helping others in need, particularly animals and children and hated any form of abuse or suffering.
I am honoured to be offered a place at the LM26, representing Siobhan’s Legacy of Love alongside GCHC and Crossbasket House. This will be a significant challenge for me, as I have not followed any exercise regime since my world was turned upside down. However, my daughter's courage and selflessness towards others will motivate me to do my very best and will take on the challenge to continue to honour my beautiful "Teeny".
The funds raised will enable Siobhan's Legacy to remain a positive force in a world that can often be harsh. My specific objective is to generate support for the Crossbasket House bereavement service, which supports families in navigating the unimaginable grief of losing a child within a compassionate, welcoming, and comforting environment.
