My Story

In 2006 I ran the London Marathon... 30 yrs old... a lot has changed in 20 yrs but the need to constantly challenge myself has not (it seems). So here I am taking part in the 2026 TCS London Marathon and this time I'm running in support of the charity Parents And Children Together (PACT).

As most of you know in 2020 we were fortunate to find our Forever Family, it was destiny and whilst parenting is hard work having our beautiful children with us on this crazy journey of life, makes it worthwhile. We owe huge thanks to PACT, the support and help they gave us through the Adoption process, the assistance in family finding, to the much needed support we have now with our children.

As some may be aware the government have cut the Adoption Support Fund by 40%! This fund helps so many children who have experienced trauma. People often say how lucky our children are but there is no "luck" in adoption (well apart from ours). Adoption is about loss and whilst there is good reason for that, it's not lucky, no child should feel lucky to grow up with loving, safe parents, it should be the norm! Without PACT fighting with us (LA and Funding providers) at every turn, our children may not have the assistance and support which has helped them navigate these emotions. This is why as a family, I'm running and we're all supporting such an excellent charity.

I would be very grateful for your support!
