My Story

About us

In April 2026, a very nervous (but hugely excited) version of myself will be lining up to take on the London Marathon in aid of Run Kids Run – a charity doing truly brilliant work for children, families and local communities.

Run Kids Run is a social impact initiative that encourages children and their parents to lead active, healthy lives, while bringing communities together to raise vital funds for local schools. These funds go directly towards projects such as playground upgrades, classroom and IT equipment, and mental health initiatives – all making a lasting difference to young people where it matters most.

Since its inception, Run Kids Run has positively impacted thousands of children and their families. Every penny donated helps to extend this impact and ensures more children have access to the resources, support and opportunities they deserve.

My display picture takes me back to April 2019, when I completed the Norwich Half Marathon. I was absolutely buzzing – not just for finishing, but for the generosity of everyone who donated. That race happened while I was at university, and little did I know that seven years later I’d be stepping up to the final boss: London Marathon 2026.

That journey – from university to where I am today – is a big part of why this cause means so much to me. I now work for Fusion, a student accommodation developer and operator that supports young people throughout their university journey and beyond. Last year I qualified as a RICS professional and now help lead Fusion’s work experience programme, supporting young people as they take their first steps into the property and built environment sector. Championing youth development, opportunity and wellbeing is something I’m proud to be part of every day.

So I’m asking anyone who kindly supported my previous fundraiser, and anyone I’ve had the pleasure of meeting since, to dig deep once again for a truly fantastic charity and help be the change for young people.

Thank you so much for your support – every donation really does make a difference.
