My Story

Here we are, Saturday before the marathon, 4 half marathons, numerous long runs, lots of sore legs and feet, a 130 metres abseil and run dressed as robing and my wife as Batman we are nearly at the marathon :)

Over the years more than a million people have completed the 26.2-mile course – which runs from Blackheath to The Mall, with a spectacular finish in front of Buckingham Palace, showcasing the very best that the capital city has to offer. Over the past 18 months the running bug has bitten me, Hard! i have completed a half marathon in November '24 but this is a completely different beast to take on.

I am lucky enough to have been allocated a spot to run the London Marathon through Helen and Douglas house, Mercedes AMG F1's team charity.

My aim is to raise £2,500 for this much deserving charity.

Helen & Douglas House helps families cope with the challenges of looking after a terminally ill baby or child who will die prematurely.

Helen & Douglas House is a homely place for local children, living with life-limiting and terminal conditions, and their families. They provide care in a warm, loving environment. The hospice is filled with laughter, whilst also being peaceful place where families can create happy memories in their last days, weeks, months or years together.

I understand money is tight and life is only getting more expensive but both myself and the charity would appreciate anything you can give.  I have added my strava so you can see the training im putting into this challenge, i have completed 3 half marathons so far and im starting to build up the mileage and time on my legs on the run upto the event. I am running, cycling and walking to bring my fitness up to the levels required for the marathon. My aim is to finish the marathon in around 5 hours
