My Story

Why I’m Running for the Sussex Cancer Fund 💜
Hello peeps, thanks for popping by,
In April 2026, I’ll be taking on the TCS London Marathon in support of the Sussex Cancer Fund, a fantastic local charity that works alongside the NHS to improve cancer care for people right here in Sussex.
The Sussex Cancer Fund helps to make the cancer journey a little easier by funding specialist equipment, refurbishments, patient wellbeing services, and local research projects, all designed to improve comfort, care, and outcomes for patients and their families. Every penny they raise stays in Sussex, supporting our local hospitals and communities.
Like so many people, I’ve seen the impact cancer can have on friends, family, and colleagues, including some close to home within our Hurst Pretenders Walking Football Club. Running for the Sussex Cancer Fund is my way of giving something back and helping to make a real difference to those going through treatment.
This will be my second London Marathon, having previously run to raise money for a meningitis charity after contracting the illness myself at the age of 20. It’s a huge challenge, but one I’m really excited about, especially knowing the funds raised will directly benefit people here in Sussex.
Thank you so much for your support. Every donation, no matter how small, really does make a difference. 💜

Many, many, many thanks
