My Story

On 26th April 2026 I will be joining team Pancreatic Cancer UK to run the London Marathon in memory of my Uncle John & Nan đź’ś

I lost my Nan to pancreatic cancer when I was just 3 years old. I didn’t get the chance to grow up with her by my side or know the battle she went through, but I’ve always carried her love with me. Years later in July 2024 we lost my amazing Uncle John to the very same disease. He was kind, funny, and had a huge passion for life. Most people live just three months from diagnosis however my brave, strong, determined uncle gave us 17 months  and 2 days, losing him has left a space that can never be filled and this is why I have decided to challenge myself in his memory.

Pancreatic cancer is incredibly cruel. It’s often diagnosed too late and survival rates are heartbreakingly low. That’s why I’m running 26.2 miles — to raise money for Pancreatic Cancer UK a charity working hard to change those statistics, to fund life-saving research, and to support families who are going through what mine has.

The marathon will be a huge challenge  I have never run a mile in my life so I am about to embark on months of training, early mornings, sore legs, and probably a few tears along the way. But compared to what my Uncle, my Nan, and so many others have faced, it’s nothing. Every mile will be for them, and for everyone fighting this disease.

If you’re able to sponsor me, no matter how big or small, it would mean the world. Together we can make a difference — and honour the memories of Uncle John and my Nan. 💜
