Still Pollyanna: Finding Strength in Every Stride.
Pollyanna Mears
My Story
My name is Pollyanna, and in April 2026, I'll be running the London marathon.
So far I have been pushing a buggy, running through the hills of North Devon and carrying something far bigger than miles...my story.
I'm running for NDADA (North Devon Against Domestic Abuse). A charity that offers safety, support and hope to families affected by domestic abuse. Their work changes lives. I know, because I've lived it.
After four years in an abusive relationship, I made the hardest and bravest decision, to leave. Since then, I have been rebuilding my life, piece by piece, stride by stride.
This marathon is about more than fitness. It's about healing. It's about showing my children, and other survivors, that we are not broken. We are still standing. We are still running.
If you can donate, share or simply follow my journey, thank you. Your support helps NDADA reach those who are still finding their strength.
