My Story

About us

I’m running the London Marathon! I honestly can’t believe I get to say those words, it’s honestly a dream come true!

Running the London Marathon in 2026 is more than just a personal challenge — it’s a deeply meaningful journey for me. This race represents dedication, perseverance, and a chance to give back to a cause that is incredibly close to my heart: Reading Force.

Reading Force is a charity that supports military children and families through the simple, powerful act of shared reading. For many children growing up in Armed Forces families, life can be full of transitions — moving homes frequently, dealing with a parent being deployed, or navigating the emotional complexities of military life. These challenges can lead to feelings of isolation or instability.

Reading Force was created to bridge those gaps, bringing families closer together through books. Whether families are living apart or adjusting to new circumstances, Reading Force gives them the tools to stay emotionally connected. Through scrapbooks, stories, and shared experiences, children are supported in building resilience, confidence, and stronger family bonds.

This mission is incredibly important to me. I’ve seen firsthand how much of a difference Reading Force makes in the lives of military children — helping them feel understood, supported, and connected. It’s a charity that doesn’t just support education; it nurtures emotional wellbeing, literacy, and a sense of belonging.

Running 26.2 miles will be tough — physically and mentally — but every step I take is for a child who finds comfort in a story, for a parent who stays close to their child through a shared book, and for the thousands of military families Reading Force continues to uplift.

Please support me in this journey, and help make a lasting difference in the lives of those who serve our country and the families who stand behind them.
