My Story

I’m a mom to three little children 7, 5 and 2 and this marathon is for them.

I didn’t start running because I loved running. I started because I wanted to show my children what it looks like to do something hard. To keep going when you’re tired. To show up when you don’t feel like it. To commit to something long after the excitement wears off.

Because one day they will face things in their own lives that feel big and uncomfortable and overwhelming… and I want them to remember that their mom chose to keep going.

I lost my own mom to cancer at a young age, and that loss shaped so much of who I am. It taught me that life isn’t always easy, but we carry on. We show up. We keep moving forward even when things feel heavy. That is a lesson I hope to pass on to my children through this journey.

Training for a marathon has meant early mornings before they wake up, running on legs that are already exhausted from motherhood, and choosing discipline over excuses on days when it would be easier to quit. But that’s the lesson. That’s the example.

With every run, I’m reminded that endurance isn’t loud or glamorous. It’s quiet. It’s steady.

I’m running the London Marathon 2026 in support of The Malki Foundation UK, an incredible charity that provides life-changing therapies and support to children in Israel with severe disabilities, helping families care for their children at home with dignity and hope.

The foundation was inspired by Malki herself, whose experiences with her own severely disabled youngest sister ignited a lifelong passion to bring happiness, support and encouragement to children facing similar challenges. She volunteered with children with special needs and inspired those around her, at school and in her community, to do the same.

Family is the essence of everything. Knowing that this foundation helps children stay at home with their families, giving parents the ability to care for their children with dignity, love and hope, as a parent ,touches my heart in the deepest way.

Thank you for supporting my run and this meaningful cause. Your donation doesn’t just help me get to the start line -it helps families keep going every single day.
