My Story

Hello everyone,

In 3 days' time I will be running the London Marathon for Make-A-Wish on the 26th of April!

As a teacher it breaks my heart that some children spend their life in hospitals and not in school where they should be. Running for Make-A-Wish gives me a chance to do something for them too! And I am so proud to be representing them!

For those that don't know, Make-A-Wish is a very special charity who create life changing wishes for children with critical illnesses at a time where they and their family need a happy moment most! Like being a princess for the day, getting them a dress, picking them up in a horse and carriage and taking them to a castle! A memory that stays with their family and for one day of the year help them forget the reality they are living in with their future uncertain.

Any donations would mean the absolute world!

Just £20 could pay for the tiara for a princes wish, or £50 could help cover the horse and carriage transport! It all goes such a long way in making the wishes happen!

Thank you so much for all your support and below is more about the amazing work Make-A-Wish do!

Make-a-Wish Uk is an incredible charity who create life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses, whether it’s starring in their own films, walking with dinosaurs, going on an amazing holiday, meeting a celebrity hero, or having a bedroom makeover; the wishes are varied, personal and life changing to every individual child. They go above and beyond to grant amazing wishes to very amazing children; their One True Wish made a reality at a time when they need it most, because a child’s life shouldn’t be about illness, hospitals and diagnosis - it should be about wonder joy and hope. 💫

Right now over 134,000 children in the UK are eligible for a wish because they are dealing with the grueling daily reality of life with a critical illness. When it comes to their dreams, they deserve to wish for more than a life defined by their illness. Critical illness brings a child’s joy to an abrupt end but Make-A-Wish UK is part of a global movement that grants life-changing wishes that have the power to turn tears into cheers, rescuing the magic of childhood even in their toughest times and providing a lifeline for families to spend precious time together.
