My Story

Hello! I will be attempting to run the London Marathon 2026 in memory of my Dad who died unexpectedly in January 2024. Anyone who knew my Dad will know that running isn’t really in the gene pool so there is no doubt about what a challenge this will be!!

That said, I would be so grateful for any donations big or small for the incredible charity Sue Ryder, which tirelessly supports families during and after bereavement.

I’m not a fan of sob stories, but to pull on the heart strings a little bit more to squeeze a few extra pennies, the day of the marathon will mark my 3rd birthday without him. Since he died, I have found birthdays difficult and I am hoping this will add a positive spin to the day :) so if you’d have any inclination to buy me a bday pint after the run, please save yourself and donate instead!! 

This is for Ginge (my Dad), my family, and my closest friends who have also lost loved ones.
